Tiger’s Den Mission is dedicated to providing an exceptional recreational experience through a fun and engaging camp program, with world-class facilities and programming that encourage learning and healthy lifestyles. Learn. Play. Succeed.
LSU UREC Tiger’s Den is designed for children ages 6 to 12. Each session is filled with sports, structured games, educational activities, field trips, arts and crafts, and more. All activities are lead by LSU students who are first aid and CPR certified.
Tiger’s Den is open to all families, and membership to LSU UREC is not required to attend Tiger’s Den Summer Camp. Lunch is provided during Summer Camp sessions and all campers receive a Tiger’s Den t-shirt.

Ready, Set, SUMMER!
Tiger’s Den is back and better than ever! We welcome our new and returning campers to the best summer camp in town and cap off the week with a fun Pool Obstacle Course in our pools.
Level Up!
Campers will tackle epic challenges, complete fun-filled quests, and unlock new skills as they take summer play to the next level with the prize at the end being a fun and family friendly movie at the Union.
Outdoor Odyssey
Tiger’s Den takes the kids outdoors for some fun and exciting times outside. Campers will be canoeing, building tents, and team-building at our challenge course.
*Campers 70 lbs and over will be eligible for the Zip Line at the Challenge Course*
Barnyard Bash
We are bringing the zoo to Tiger’s Den as we bring a petting zoo to the UREC! Llamas, goats, and tons of other animals will be here to greet your campers to an epic week.
Tiger's Got Talent
Simon Cowell will only be clapping as we have our 2nd Annual Tiger’s Den Talent Show. Parents will be welcomed as campers perform their impressive talents for the entire camp!
Bock Party USA
This special 4 day week of Tiger’s Den will be a non-stop party to celebrate the 250th birthday of the USA. Make sure your camper wears their Red, White, and Blue to the party!
Shark Week
Discovery Channel has nothing on the Tiger’s Den Shark Week. Campers will create their own sharks and fins, and they will dance like sharks at our annual Synchronized Swimming competition.
Kick Around the World
World Cup 2026 kicks off in fashion at Tiger’s Den with the first week of exciting soccer games for all. Let your camper represent their favorite country as we cheer on each team in this epic global competition.
#JustDifferent
LSU is #JustDifferent, and Tiger’s Den proves just that! This week, we show the campers just how great LSU is by visiting Mike the Tiger and the one and only Death Valley at Tiger Stadium.
Sunset Summer
That time of year where we have to say goodbye to summer and all of our campers. Make sure you celebrate the end of Summer with us at our Family Day where families are welcome to come and join in on the camp fun.
How to Register for 2026 Summer Camp
- Complete the online registration form. Registration opens March 1st, 2026 for LSU Students, Faculty, Staff, and UREC Members..
- Registration Opens April 1, 2026 for all others.
- You will receive an email from Tiger's Den with confirmation and payment information.
- Pay applicable session fees within 3 business days of receiving the confirmation email. Registration for each week is not complete until payment has been processed.

- Camp Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Early Drop Off (Additional $20/week): 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
- Drop Off: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
- Pick Up: 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Late Pick Up (Additional $10/week): 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Submit Payment Online
- Camp registration may be purchased by credit card at the Main UREC Operations Desk.
- Payroll deduction is no longer an option for payment options.
- Online payments will close the Wednesday before the desired session.
- If canceled 10 days or more prior to the session – $10 administration fee.
- If cancelled three to nine days prior to first day of the session start date – 50% of registration fee will be refunded.
- If cancelled two or less days prior to first day of the session start date – No refund will be given.
- Space is limited in 2026 to 90 campers per week.
- University Recreation reserves the right to cancel any session or modify activities due to under-enrollment, facility issues, or circumstances beyond its control. Parents will be notified immediately if a session is altered in any way.
Tiger's Den 2026 Swim Lessons
Tiger’s Den swim lessons are designed specifically for children registered for Tiger’s Den Summer Camp.
Tiger’s Den swim lessons are designed for participants from beginners to advanced levels. Swimmers will receive 4, 30 minute lessons per registration.
Group swim lessons must have a minimum of 3 participants.
If a scheduled time does not reach the 3 participant minimum, you may either shift to a new session or receive a full refund.
Lessons will be offered from 3:00 p.m. through 3:30 p.m. to pick-up times. Group Swim Lessons will be held Monday – Thursday with Fridays reserved for make-up days.
Payment must be made at the UREC Operations Desk with proof of Tiger’s Den Registration
