AAPG Student Chapter

What is the AAPG?

The AAPG (American Association of Petroleum Geologists) is a professional organization for geoscientists with a broad interest in geology, scientific research, and advancements in the field. While it has strong ties to petroleum geology, its mission includes promoting and disseminating geologic knowledge across various specialties. At LSU, the AAPG Student Chapter is recognized as a professional organization within the Geology Department.

The LSU Student Chapter supports visiting lecturers, organizes outreach events, and plans educational (and fun!)

How much does it cost to join?

How do I join?

Joining is simple: fill out a membership application, attach a copy of your student ID, and submit it to the AAPG Library or the Geology Department Office.
